Handmade in the UK, the gate is available to order in a selection of sizes, and it benefits from surface-mounted adjustable hinges to aid levelling during installation. Suitable for mounting directly to existing brickwork, metal or timber posts, the Clifton design is manufactured using 20mm x 8mm solid flat bar frames, 10mm round infill bars and 10mm x 3mm scrollwork. The gate includes a universal latch that enables hanging left or right-handed and is supplied in either primed black (undercoat), meaning the gate needs to be painted before installation to prevent the onset of rust and corrosion, or the option of a pre-finished zinc plated and black powder coated paint.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: To calculate the ordering size, measure the distance between walls or posts. Make no other adjustments because the "fits opening" dimension displayed in the drop-down menu already includes the space necessary for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once installed)" measurement is taken from the ground to the top of the arch. This dimension already includes an allowance of 50mm (2”) for ground clearance.

Example

If the gap size between brickwork measures 1067mm you should order a gate to “fit opening 1067mm”.

Do You Require Posts? 

When metal posts are necessary to install the gate (due to a lack of sufficient masonry or support structure), you'll need to make sure there's enough room for these items.

Example – A gate to fit an opening of 1067mm combined with 2 x 50mm posts will need an overall space of 1167mm.
