The Clifton Wrought Iron Style Metal Side Gate is suitable for any residential application where a physical security barrier will prove beneficial to the property owner. Manufactured in the UK, this traditional side gate design features solid steel components for maximum levels of durability. Available to buy online in various sizes to suit standard opening requirements, the gate features 10mm x 3mm wrought iron style scrolls, 10mm round infill bars and a 20mm x 8mm framework. Supplied in a choice of black primed (undercoat) ready for painting before installation or a zinc-plated and powder-coated finish, and for your convenience, we also include adjustable surface-mounted hinges for easy installation and a standard latch mechanism.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: To determine the ordering size, measure the distance between walls or posts. Make no further calculations because the "fits opening" width in the drop-down box already includes the space necessary for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once installed)" is measured from the ground to the top of the horizontal frame. It includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. The scrollwork on the top of the gate is not included within this height.

Example

If the distance between brick walls measures 838mm, you should order a gate to "fit opening 838mm".

Do You Need to Install Metal Gate Posts? 

When metal posts are required (due to the lack of suitable brickwork or support structure), you will need to allow additional space for these items.

Example – A gate to fit an opening of 3ft 6" combined with 2 x 2" posts will need an overall space of 3ft 10".
