Ordering Sizes
-
Width: Measure the distance between your current walls or posts. This measurement will be your ordering size. You don't need to complete extra calculations as our "fits opening" measurement already accounts for the space required for hinges and latch.
-
Height: We advise leaving a ground clearance of 50mm (2") when installing your new gate.
Example
If the distance between two walls measures 1000mm, you must order a gate designed to "fit opening 1000mm".
Do You Need to Include Metal Gate Posts?
If incorporating new metal posts in your layout, remember that additional space is necessary.
Example - Using a gate designed to fit a 1000mm gap combined with two 50mm posts means the overall space requirement will total 1100mm.
