Ordering Sizes

• Width: Simply measure the distance between the pillars, walls, or pre-existing posts to establish the ordering width. You must then purchase the gates based on this dimension because the "fits opening" size displayed in the drop-down box already includes the space necessary for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "physical height" of the gates is measured from the bottom of the frame to the highest point. There is no allowance for ground clearance within this measurement. For best results, we recommend leaving a space of 50mm (2") when installing the gates.

Example

If the gap size between existing brick pillars is 3048mm you should select the gates that “fits opening” 3048mm (10ft).

Do you Need to Install Metal Posts?

Metal posts should be used for installations when there is no existing support structure in place. If these items are needed, please keep in mind that additional space will be required.

Example – Gates to fit an opening of 3048mm combined with 2 x 70mm posts will require a total overall space of 3188mm.
