Ordering Sizes

• Width: To determine the ordering size, you must measure the distance between the existing brick walls or posts. You do not need to perform any further calculations because our "fits opening" size, displayed in the drop-down menu, already includes the space necessary for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "Height (once fitted)" dimension includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. This is measured from the floor to the top of the framework. Please note that due to the unique shape of the arch, the heights are subject to minor variations depending on the width you order.

Example

If you measure the distance between your existing brickwork and it comes to 3ft 6", you should select the "fit opening 3ft 6" option when ordering your gate.

Do You Need Metal Gate Posts?

Metal gate posts are necessary if there isn't a suitable existing structure to secure the hinges and latch. In these instances, additional space is required.

Example - If you're installing a gate designed to fit an opening of 3ft 6" and require 2 x 4" posts, your overall space requirement will be 4ft 2".
