The Royale Monarch Wrought Iron Style Side Gate is a premium-grade option with a highly ornate design. Handmade in the UK and available in a choice of sizes to suit many common pedestrian entrances, it will add an elegant touch to any home or garden setting. The gate incorporates a welded framework, which includes 40mm x 30mm hanging stile, 40 mm x 10mm closing stile, 16mm x 5mm scrollwork and 16mm diameter round metal infill bars. Furthermore, for an even more imposing appearance, spear-shaped finials are mounted to three of the horizontal rails. To enable easy installation onto various surfaces, the gate has a pair of adjustable hinges and a sliding latch, which you can secure with a padlock.

Ordering Sizes

• Width: To calculate the ordering size, measure the distance between walls or posts. Make no other adjustments because the "fits opening" dimension displayed in the drop-down menu already includes the space necessary for the hinges and latch. For further clarification, please refer to the example below.

• Height: The "Height (once fitted)" measurement includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance. This is measured from the floor to the top of the horizontal framework. Please note that this does not include the finials or additional scrollwork mounted above the top rail.

Example

If the measurement between your brick walls measures 1067mm, you should order a gate to "fit an opening of 1067mm".

Do You Require Posts? 

For projects that require metal posts (commonly needed when a masonry support structure is not present), it's essential to consider the additional space required for these components. 

Example – A gate to fit an opening of 1067mm combined with 2 x 100mm posts will need an overall space of 1267mm.
