The gates, which come with surface mounted adjustable hinges, a latch mechanism, and a drop bolt, are available to order online to fit a variety of driveway entries ranging from 8ft to 16ft and are suitable for DIY installations. They are exceptionally robust and stiff, with a heavy-duty solid steel design consisting of 40mm x 30mm hanging stiles, 40mm x 20mm closing stiles and cross rails, and 16mm solid metal infill bars, making them more than capable of withstanding the rigours of regular use. Ordering Sizes

• Width: The space required for the hinges and latch is already included in the "fits opening" specifications given in the drop-down menu. As a result, you should measure the distance between existing masonry supports and then select a size from our options that corresponds to that measurement. Additional calculations should be avoided because they will result in ordering errors.

• Height: The “height once fitted” includes an allowance of 50mm (2”) for ground clearance. It is measured from ground level to the top of the framework. The uppermost finials above this are not included within this dimension.

Ordering Example

If the size of the opening between brick pillars measures 9ft 6” you should order the gates to “fit opening 9ft 6”.

Is it Necessary to Use Metal Posts?

Metal posts are required for freestanding installations that do not have an existing support structure. The right size posts may be chosen from the options and accessories menu above if necessary. It's crucial to keep in mind that this will necessitate more room.

Example – Gates to fit an opening of 11ft 6” combined with 2 x 150mm posts will require a total overall space of 12ft 6”.
