Ordering Sizes

• Width: Take measurements between the walls or existing posts to determine the opening size. You will then need to choose the width based on this dimension, as this will be the ordering size. There are no other allowances necessary because the "fits opening" dimension shown in the drop-down box already includes the space required for the hinges and latch.

• Height: The "physical height" measurement does not include the space necessary for ground clearance. We recommend allowing 50mm (2") of ground clearance is available before installing the gate.

Examples

• If the distance between walls or existing posts is 890mm, you should select a gate that “fits opening” 850mm – 920mm.

• If the gap size is 960mm, you should choose a gate to “fits opening” 920mm – 990mm.

Where the addition of new metal posts is necessary due to the lack of an adequate support structure, it is important to remember that these items will need additional space.
